Lee started his musical endeavers while still quite young, by banging out tunes on the piano.  this is part of the reason he leaves the piano teaching to his wife, Claire.

    He bagan the study of the trumpet in fourth grade, studying with Frank Bradshaw, Milton Nelson, and Harry Hurforth before starting the French horn in 10th grade.  He studied with Robert Frutchey in Akron and went on to receive an associate certificate with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (ARCT)

    He began the study of the guitar in 8th grade, and studied at Akron U before getting his level 10 certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.

    He  taught music at the Shepherd's School of Music in Fort St John British Columbia, Canada, where he taught brass, guitar, and music theory.

    He and Claire were married in 1984 and have two children.
